finally got pyro acheivment milestones and how

match after match trying to get the 22 achievements needed to unlock all the weapons i realised that their are some maps in the server list called "acheivmentbox". instantly my attension was drawn to it, joined, and it was what it really said. Bots would spawn so u could easily get the 500 kills or the 1000 or even the backburner one. Yes it may be cheap, but it works and hey look at it this way you will get to use that sweet backburner quicker --->

Life on a low population server

the life of a low population server is going to be a weekly rant about how frustrated i get with being on a low - medium population server, its rough trust me. this weeks innoiance is the fact that i CANT ever find anyone to do 50-60 instances or if i do find someone they are really bad. like the time on my mage where we did sethekk halls (i think) where the last boss does an aoe attack. Guess what the healer died, and died , and died 5 more times, why? because he didnt understand line of sight. there was no excuse for dying 7 times on that the boss gives a raid warning when he is about to cast the aoe attack ffs! and yet the healer wouldn't move behind the damn pillar to save himself. 7 deaths and a hefty repair bill later he finally gets
it! gratz dude on being one of the worst healers on drak ' thul :)

midsummer fair is here

Personally i never knew this existed and am not sure if this event was around last year or years previous, but, what i do know is u can utilize this event into a FREE level. Yes you herd correctly a free level (providing you are lvl 50 +) it worked for me and it can work for you. So how you ask? well its pretty easy, each alliance or horde town has a tent and a bonfire like in the pic above ( the tent is away from town so u dont have to worry about guards ) . the bonfire will have a "!" above it, click it and u will get a 6 sec opening time then you complete the "quest" and get free XP (at lvl 54 i got 8124 xp for each times however many zones you want to go to ) . My only warning is to watch out for 70's if you are lower in places like goldshire where i had troubles and almost died. But this is an interesting way to get some free xp for doing nothing.

New pryo acheivments and free TF2 weekend

Pyro is the newest class to get the new weapons and achievements to boot, with addition of 2 maps and a few tweaks. Now the pyro flamethrower has an alternate fire which blasts enemies back and can supposedly deflect rockets (one of the acheivments wants you to do it 20 times) at a hefty 35 ammo price. This weekend valve are giving players a free trial of TF2 for those who dont have it. These acheivments and weapons have brought new life into the pyro for me, but, expect to see many pryos now that the patch is live.

Mario kart wii short review

Mario kart wii is the newest edition in racers to the wii library and the 6th games in the Mario kart series. Coming into this i was expecting a revolutionary or evolutionary experience granted that it is now on a "next gen" system but was slightly disapointed.

yes there are new characters and even new vehicles to drive ( bikes) but the core gameplay is still left unchanged. Other games like super smash brothers brawl encorpurated multiple control variations (GCN controler) mario kart wii does the same enableing the player to control with the wii mote, wii mote + numchuck , GCN controler and or classic controler.

mario kart wii is the same core game from MK64 which is a good thing but 10 years later we would expect something a little diffrent gameplay wise. It is a solid racer and probibly has the best controls for a wii racer.
but, would have liked to see a change ( like double dash ) in gameplay somewhat other than bikes which have almost no effect on how you play the game. There are times playing this where i am wonder if i could have saved 50 bucks and just played DD.

so mario kart wii...buy or not buy... well.. i didn't buy it my sisters did so its all good for me but i would sudjest at least rent it first. Mario kart wii, decent racer worth a...

"Opeth - watershed" impressions

Opeth - watershed

Watershed is the newest album from progressive death metal band Opeth. Me myself haven't been an opeth fan for long, id listen to a song here and there, but my favorites from before would be "demon of the fall", "deliverance", "blackwater park" and more. This album now adds some more favorite songs to the list. Opeth is one of those bands that is always changing and innovating. this edition features a new drummer, new drummer = new techniques ( like blast beats in certain songs). I think the new drummer works well for their sound which now contains more clean vocals instead of growls. dont get me wrong there are still some songs that are mostly growling ("heir apartment") and some with all clean vocals ("porcelain heart"). overall it is a good album and anyone who likes clean vocals can enjoy it as well with death metal fans.

favorite songs off watershed:
-coil
-heir apartment
-porcelain heart
-the lotus eater
-burden

Ninja Gaiden 2 first impressions

It's been roughly 4 years since the original xbox was graced with ninja gaiden, a terrific yet extremely hard action game. It was the game that separated the casual from the hardcore , the button masher from the pure skillful player .4 years later and we have the 2nd iteration to the xbox classic,me, being a fan of the 1st is having high expectations for this one, so it better be a damn good game when i plop it into my 360 ;)

just a note: im not actually finished with it yet, im only at the 5th chapter :P

Gameplay: Ninja Gaiden has been known for its stellar gameplay with endless combos in sight. does this transfer into the 2nd? hell ya it does, NG2 is like the 1st but on speed. combat is much faster this time around (for the better) and feels more fluid. Now the big rave about NG2 is the whole dismemberment deal where now limbs will be sliced off and or broken off. dismembered enemies can lead to a fancy finisher move by pressing "Y" near the dismembered enemy which results in this:

as you can see NG2 is much more bloody and violent than the 1st. To help with all this carnage are a different array of weapons that ryu has to offer:

Dragon sword- basic katana

Lunar staff- basically a staff (good for swarms of enemies)

shops are fond along the way that can upgrade weapons and purchase items.

there are other weapons, im just not that far yet :(
Ryu has some of his old tricks like the flying sparrow and the wall run.

Another key aspect to any NG game it the difficulty level. NG2 caters to the more casual player but is still a hard ass game, with the return of the inevitable half hp attacks that were in the first. But, when the player has cleared out all of the enemies in the area they are rewarded HP back. Now, there will be a opposing red bar to counter the blue HP, meaning that you cant get that hp back untill you use a healing item or hit a save point ( they restore HP now to )

Graphics / presentation: NG on xbox was one of the best looking games for the system and really utilized the xbox hardware. this time around NG2 is no slouch but dosen't look the greatest compared to games like DMC4 or mass effect. characters look good, backgrounds look pretty bad in some areas and good in others. Many sources have stated that NG2 runs at 585P. I cannot comment on that (was running it on an SDTV) although it looks good on SDTV.... coming into NG2 i herd about the frustrating camera problem. The camera sucks. plain and simple it just sucks. there are times where the camera will hide enemies from you ( i know because i have died many times because of it). But by now i have come up with a solution: just jump around forever till it corrects its self or block. runs relatively smooth, not very much slowdown and limbs and blood stay on the ground for a longer period of time( now i can finally witness the carnage i have done :) )

Story: .... not much to say here. ryu meet girl. girl tell ryu demons want to summon arch fiend. end story for now.

Overall: NG2 is a good game for anyone who loves action games, fans will enjoy it like i did and even non-fans should get some fun outta it ( just be prepared to die a lot if your a noob)
